The international business community uses arbitration to resolve cross-border commercial disputes. The New York Convention, which provides for enforcement of arbitral decisions, has been ratified by a majority of the world’s nations, and supportive laws favoring arbitration are in place in many countries. International commercial arbitration awards are recognized by national courts in most parts of the world, sometimes even more than foreign court judgments. A key component to the successful resolution of an international commercial dispute is the role played by the administrative institution.
The International section of our ADR Community is composed of several business fields that utilize arbitration in resolving disputes, where you can participate in more specialized or targeted discussions. Areas are Commercial, Construction, Labor and Employment, and International.
